We help individuals and businesses achieve real outcomes through practical, nationally recognised courses that make a difference.About the RoleReporting to the National Quality & Compliance Manager, the Trainer Compliance & Capability Development Lead plays a critical role in strengthening trainer quality, capability, and compliance across our RTO and enterprise training functions.This role combines trainer governance, compliance oversight, and workforce capability development, ensuring our trainers and assessors are compliant, current, competent, and fully authorised to deliver training in line with the Standards for RTOs ****.You will also lead the design and development of internal learning resources and professional development initiatives, supporting a high-performing, audit-ready training workforce.Key ResponsibilitiesManage trainer onboarding, verification, approvals, and scope authorisations, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, licensing conditions, and organisational policiesMonitor trainer currency, capability, and professional development while maintaining audit-ready records, registers, and evidenceSupport audits, internal reviews, and continuous improvement activitiesDesign and maintain internal learning resources, including modules, guides, toolkits, and handbooksDevelop trainer capability frameworks and upskilling resources, translating compliance and operational requirements into practical,



user-friendly materialsAct as the primary support point for trainers and managers on compliance and workforce mattersProvide clear guidance on regulatory requirements and support the NQCM with audit, governance, quality initiatives, and development of SOPs and operational resourcesAbout YouMinimum 3+ years' experience in RTO compliance, training quality, or vocational education governanceStrong experience applying the Standards for RTOs ****Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent)Qualifications in Business, Education, Compliance, HR, L&D;, or related fieldDemonstrated experience developing:Internal learning resourcesStaff modules, guides, toolkits, and process documentationStrong knowledge of training and assessment practices and evidence requirementsProven ability to maintain audit-ready records and compliance systemsAdvanced written communication and document development skillsAdvanced Microsoft Office capabilityDesirableExperience in internal, external, or third-party audits.Experience designing various course materials.Experience in continuous improvement, quality systems, or workflow optimisation.Knowledge of LMS, SMS, or compliance systems used for trainer authorisation, professional development, observations, and record management.Experience developing compliance or operational learning resources for internal staff.Experience in the construction, training, or high-risk work environment.Key Skills & AttributesAbility to balance regulatory compliance with practical workforce support.Strong judgement, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive trainer and staff matters.Ability to simplify complex compliance or operational requirements into clear, practical, and usable resources.Team-oriented working style with the ability to partner effectively with HR, managers, and subject matter experts.Self-directed, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
