Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)Casual/VacationOrigin Support Services is seeking compassionate, motivated, and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Brisbane West, Bayside, Logan, Brisbane North, and surrounding regions.Origin support services pty ltdBrisbane, QLD, ****, AURedland bay / Logan AreaWe provide person-centred support to people living with disabilities, helping them build independence, achieve their goals, and actively participate in their communities.
Our services include:Supported Independent Living (SIL)Community AccessShort-Term Accommodation (STA) and Respite SupportsThis casual prospect offers flexible shifts across a variety of locations and support settings, including weekdays, weekends, sleepovers, and overnight supports, with opportunities for ongoing employment for the right candidates.About the RoleAs a Disability Support Worker, you will provide quality care and support to participants both in their homes and within the community.
You will play an important role in promoting independence, choice, and control while ensuring all participants are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting participants with daily living activitiesBuilding positive and meaningful relationships with participantsSupporting participants to attend appointments and community activitiesProviding support within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environmentAssisting with community access, including shopping, recreation, and social activitiesMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised home environmentCompleting domestic tasks such as meal preparation, laundry,



and general household dutiesRecording accurate shift notes and incident reportsSupporting participants in line with their NDIS goals and support plansEnsuring participants' rights, choices, privacy, and dignity are upheld at all timesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A current Driver's LicenceAccess to a reliable vehicle with third-party insuranceA current Yellow Card and Blue Card, or willingness to obtain themFull Australian working rightsAvailability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, sleepovers, and overnight supportsA positive, reliable, and participant-focused approach to supportDesirable Skills and ExperienceWhile not essential, the following will be highly regarded:Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related fieldPrevious experience in disability supportExperience supporting participants with high-intensity support needsExperience supporting participants living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), palliative care needs, or other complex physical support needsNursing qualifications or experienceManual Handling trainingExperience using hoists and other assistive equipmentWhy Join Origin Support Services?
