This is a part-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in family law whilst working in a supportive and skilled environment.
As a Trainee Law Clerk, you will play a valuable role in supporting our legal team and developing the foundational skills required for a career in family law.
This position is integral to our operations, allowing you to contribute meaningfully whilst building your expertise in one of the most rewarding areas of legal practice.Key responsibilitiesProviding administrative and clerical support to solicitors and legal practitioners within the family law practiceManaging client files, legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail and confidentialityConducting legal research and preparing research summaries on family law matters, legislation and case lawDrafting routine legal documents, correspondence and court submissions under supervisionAssisting with client intake, scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate case management recordsPreparing court documents and ensuring compliance with court filing requirements and procedural rulesSupporting solicitors and preparation of files for court appearances and client meetingsContributing to general office operations, including telephone support and reception duties as requiredLearning and applying family law practices,



procedures and ethical standards in accordance with professional obligationsWhat we're looking forCurrently enrolled in or recently completed a law degree or paralegal qualificationStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionallyMeticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal case management software (training provided)Demonstrated interest in family law and commitment to understanding its complexitiesAbility to work respectfully with clients who may be experiencing difficult personal circumstancesA proactive attitude to learning, with willingness to take on new challenges and seek guidance when neededReliability and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all mattersExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentCustomer service experience is advantageous but not essentialWhat we offerEvans Brandon Family Lawyers is committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our team members.
