"Designed by farmers... for farmers"About the roleMetis Machinery is seeking an experienced hands on Production Manager to join our team on a full time basis in Oakey, QLD ****.
In this strategic leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our production of agricultural machinery, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety across our facility.
This role is pivotal to our operational success and directly impacts our ability to deliver excellent results to our clients.
You will work on-site at our Oakey location, leading the team and driving continuous improvement across our production environment.Key responsibilitiesPlan, coordinate and oversee all production activities to ensure targets are met on time and within budgetManage production schedules and resource allocation to optimize workflow and minimize downtimeSupervise and lead the production team, including recruiting, training and performance management of staffMonitor product quality standards and specifications, ensuring they are maintained and improved.Implement and maintain health and safety protocols across the production floorIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costsMaintain accurate production records and generate performance reports for senior managementManage all warehouse operations including receiving, storage and inventory control.Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records,



minimizing inventory discrepancies.Ensure efficient warehouse layout and material flow.Manage equipment maintenance schedules and oversee preventative maintenance programsTroubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as requiredWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar senior manufacturing management roleStrong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and resource managementProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectivelyUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, quality control and continuous improvement methodologiesProficiency with production management systems and computer softwareExperience with inventory management systemsExcellent problem‐solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressureStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environmentsFormal qualifications in Production Management, Manufacturing or a related discipline (preferred)Agricultural experience (farming or production of farm machinery) is advantageous.Relevant fabrication trade background is advantageous.Management experience in the manufacturing sector is requiredWhat we offerMetis Machinery is committed to providing a rewarding workplace where our employees can grow and succeed.
