we offer:Half day every Friday for an early start to the weekendPaid day off on your birthdayGenerous performance-based bonus programOngoing professional development and technical trainingDirect mentoring from experienced accountants and advisorsExposure to a diverse range of industries and clientsGenuine career progression opportunities within a growing firmA positive and supportive team environmentAs an Accountant within our Business Services and Tax Advisory team, you will play a key role in helping clients meet their compliance obligations while providing practical advice to support their financial and business goals.At Perrier Ryan, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering outstanding client service and helping each other succeed.About the RoleYour responsibilities will include:Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation fundsPreparation and review of BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax returnsAssisting clients with tax planning strategies to optimise outcomes and minimise taxation risksIdentifying opportunities for business improvement, restructuring, succession planning and wealth transition strategiesAssisting with complex tax and accounting advisory projectsBuilding and maintaining trusted relationships with clients through proactive and qualified communicationWorking directly with clients to understand their objectives and provide practical solutionsContributing to internal process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and client outcomesParticipating in ongoing professional development to remain current with taxation legislation,
accounting standards and industry developmentsThis is a full-time permanent position based in our Cairns office.
Regular office attendance is required to support client engagement, collaboration and professional development opportunities.Salary will be commensurate with experience and aligned with current market conditions.About YouYou are a motivated and client-focused accounting professional who enjoys developing practical solutions for businesses.
You thrive in a fast-paced setting and take pride in delivering high-quality work while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or FinanceCA or CPA qualification (or currently studying towards completion)Minimum 2 years' experience in business services and tax advisory within a public practice environmentSound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirementsExperience using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsA proactive attitude and commitment to continuous professional developmentThe ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentA solid focus on delivering exceptional service and maintaining client relationshipsYou take ownership of your work, meet deadlines consistently, and are confident seeking guidance when necessary to continue developing your technical expertise and professional capability.Applicants must have full Australian working rights.A National Police Check will be required prior to commencement.Overseas-based applicants will not be considered.
