The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) at Calvary Mater Newcastle provides care, comfort and support to patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, as directed by the Registered Nurse.
The Assistant in Nursing is required to work across the Calvary Mater in diverse clinical settings including, Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology.DUTIES:Report all patient observations to the appropriate Registered NurseSupport to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered NurseProvide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered NurseLearn more about our community and services here!
ABOUT YOU:Evidence of current enrolment in a Bachelor of Nursing degree, Diploma of Nursing or completion of Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care HTL************) Transcripts must be providedSuccessful completion of all 1st Year Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma of Nursing subjects and successful completion of acute care placement (Minimum 2 weeks in Hospital Setting); or satisfactory completion of Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care HTL************) Transcripts must be providedDemonstrated and effective communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated ability to respond quickly and decisively in a challenging and fast paced environment.For further information please contact Helen Hambrey, Access and Flow Manager, Patient Flow on email: ****** note:
