This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, solving technical problems, and working directly with customers in a fast‐paced operational environment.You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing advanced X-ray and trace detection systems while ensuring high levels of equipment availability and customer satisfaction.What You'll Be DoingTroubleshoot, service, maintain and repair X-ray and trace detection equipmentComplete preventative maintenance activities in line with service agreements and schedulesRespond to breakdowns and corrective maintenance requests within KPI commitmentsDiagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using multimeters, software tools and diagnostic equipmentReplace motors, belts, rollers,
X-ray generators and other machine componentsPerform inspections, cleaning, repairs and component replacement within equipmentSupport installation and commissioning of new systemsComplete service documentation, reports and maintenance records accuratelyManage spare parts consumption and inventory transactionsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend equipment enhancementsSupport and mentor junior engineers and new team membersMaintain safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety cultureWork collaboratively with customers, contractors and internal stakeholdersQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForCertificate III Trade Qualification or Degree in:Electrical EngineeringElectronic EngineeringMechanical EngineeringMechatronicsIT or related discipline3+ years' experience in a field service, maintenance, manufacturing, automation or technical support environmentExperience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical or electronic equipmentStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsComfortable using hand tools, power tools and testing equipmentExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProvisional or unrestricted driver's licenceAbility to obtain Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC)
