Wade Sawmill is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team on a part-time basis.
Based in Maryborough, QLD ****, this role offers a strategic opportunity to lead and manage our human resources functions whilst maintaining flexibility through part-time working arrangements.As Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support our organisational goals, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation.
This position is integral to Wade Sawmill's success, as you will be instrumental in attracting, developing, and retaining talented team members who drive our business forward.Key responsibilitiesUpdate, implement and manage human resources policies, procedures and programmes aligned with organisational objectivesRecruit, select and onboard new employees, ensuring a thorough induction process and smooth integration into the organisationManage employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary procedures and conflict resolutionProvide advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR matters, employment law and workplace rights and responsibilitiesDevelop and deliver training and development programmes to support employee growth and skills enhancementEnsure compliance with relevant employment legislation, health and safety regulations and workplace standardsMaintain accurate HR records and confidential personnel filesContribute to the development of a positive workplace culture that reflects Wade Sawmill's values and visionLiaise with external parties including recruitment agencies, training providers and legal advisors as requiredWhat we're looking forDiploma or degree qualification in Human Resources, Business Management or related field, or equivalent professional experiencePreferred 3-5 years' experience in a human resources management role within a manufacturing,



timber or similar industrial environmentStrong knowledge of Australian employment law, workplace relations legislation and award systemsDemonstrated experience in recruitment, selection and onboarding processesProficiency with HR management systems and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisationStrong organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities effectivelyProblem-solving mindset with the ability to provide practical solutions to workplace challengesProfessional approach to confidentiality and data managementExperience with payroll administration and employee benefits management is highly desirableMembership of skilled HR organisations such as AHRI is advantageousAbout Wade SawmillWade Sawmill is an established sawmilling operation based in Maryborough, Queensland.
