Our Sydney operation is scaling rapidly across key growth corridors, and we are looking for experienced Vehicle Inspectors to own their patch and help us source quality cars directly from customers across the city.The RoleAs a Vehicle Inspector at Cars24, you are the face of our customer-sourcing operation on the ground.
You will travel across your designated Sydney territory, attending pre-booked appointments to inspect, assess and value customer vehicles on behalf of Cars24.
This is a field-based, autonomous role with a clear performance incentive tied to your output.
You will manage your own schedule across a defined high-volume territory, conduct thorough vehicle assessments, communicate findings clearly to customers, and help convert inspections into purchases.
You will be backed by our tech stack and a high-volume pipeline of pre-booked leads, so the focus is on quality execution and customer experience, not cold outreach.Territories: Ryde/Parramatta, Inner South-East, and Inner/East.What You'll Be DoingAttend pre-booked vehicle inspection appointments across your designated Sydney territoryConduct thorough mechanical and cosmetic assessments, identifying faults,



defects and relevant vehicle historyCommunicate your findings clearly and professionally to customers during and after the inspectionNegotiate vehicle purchase prices confidently and effectively within approved parametersComplete accurate inspection reports and records via our mobile tools (iPhone/iPad)Manage your own daily schedule to maximise the number of quality inspections completedWork closely with our operations, C2B and logistics teams to ensure smooth vehicle acquisition and handoverMaintain a high standard of customer experience at every touchpoint, representing the Cars24 brand in the fieldWhat We're Looking ForSolid hands-on experience as a Vehicle Inspector, Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or in a similar vehicle assessment role, ideally with a recognised automotive businessStrong ability to read a vehicle quickly and accurately, spotting mechanical and cosmetic issues with confidenceGenuine customer-facing skills: warm, professional and able to communicate technical findings clearly to everyday buyers and sellersConfidence to negotiate purchase prices respectfully and effectivelyHighly organised and self-directed, able to manage a full day of field appointments independently and keep everything on trackComfortable with mobile technology: iPhones, iPads, and basic spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets)A valid Australian driver's licence and the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehiclesFull Australian working rightsWillingness to undergo a police check (a condition of employment at Cars24)$70,000-$75,000 base salary + performance incentive of up to $4,000-$5,000 per monthOTE of $118,000-$135,000 for a strong performerField-based and autonomous, you own your territory and your schedulePre-booked lead pipeline provided, no cold outreach requiredApple tech stack (iPhone/iPad) providedMonthly phone allowance + annual wellness bonus6 months' paid parental leave at 80% salary + employee assistance programJoin an A$4.7B global AutoTech business on a transparent trajectory toward IPO, with real career growth opportunities in operations, sourcing or beyond
