ABOUT THE ROLE
As MESHKI's first Data Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role designing, building and supporting our data pipelines, BI environment and reporting infrastructure that power decisions across the business.
This is an opportunity to grow your engineering career as our capability scales from foundational platform ownership today towards more advanced cloud data warehousing and AI-enabled analytics as our team and tech stack mature.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Design,
build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines that connect our core systems including Shopify, warehouse and logistics platforms, email/CRM and our ERP - into our BI environment
Own BAU pipeline health including monitoring data flows, troubleshooting failures, and resolving data quality issues before they impact the business
Deliver both project-based initiatives and day-to-day support, ensuring reliable and high-quality data and reporting solutions.
Apply data governance, quality and access-control best practices across our data ecosystem
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
Strong SQL skills, and working proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation
Experience with a modern BI or data transformation platform (e.g. Domo, Power BI, Looker or similar)
Confidence troubleshooting pipeline and data quality issues independently, and resolving them with minimal oversightAbility to balance project delivery with BAU support in a production environment
Solid understanding of data integration, reporting architecture and dimensional data modelling
Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus, and equivalents such as Dynamics NAV or SAP are also bonus
Experience working with ecommerce or retail data (desirable)
