This a maximum-term, part-time (32 hours per week) contract until August **** position is based at our South Brisbane campus.This role will support the Education Coordinator in the delivery of education strategies included in Mater Health's Strategic and Operational Plans.
Additionally, you will promote and implement best practice/evidence-based practice; promote critical thinking and clinical problem solving; and consistency in care delivery within a practice development and robust education model.Salary range: $***** - $***** per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingAs a Clinical Facilitator within Clinical Education, you will be primarily responsible for:Supporting career development of nursing team through education and delivering safe, quality patient careCoordinating unit and organisational objectives related to education, safety standards, policies, and best practice modelsImplementing and evaluating new policies and models of careProviding clinical facilitation and monitoring of education initiativesEnsuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service StandardsAbout youThe successful candidate will have a minimum three years of recent clinical experience working as an PACU Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse within the perioperative environment.You will also meet the below criteria:Post graduate qualifications in specialty and/or education highly desirable or a willingness to work towards achievingDemonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and preceptorshipTAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to work towards achievingHigh Level communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyStrong focus on professional self-development and that of othersPaediatric PACU experience is highly desirableMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
