We do this by having amazing teachers, youth workers, counsellors and curriculum to create an environment that makes people want to be at school and learn.Y Schools Queensland Bundaberg Campus are excited to share that due to our school growing, we are seeking a passionate new Head of Campus on a Permanent Full-Time basis to support in our School based in Bundaberg starting Term 4, ****About the roleThis position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of a YMCA Vocational School Campus to achieve agreed student outcomes in line with the strategic direction, philosophy, and educational practice established for the schoolWhat will my time look like?
Support and lead the delivery of school improvement processes with respect to the school's academic, wellbeing and vocational pillars and subsequent development of related policies, procedures and practicesDevelop and mentor teachers / youth workers in their classroom practice, including the integration of the school's wellbeing philosophy and vocational frameworkMonitor the Campus' funding and expenditure against budget targets, report as required, ensuring corrective action is taken when targets are not metProvide timely reports for the principal and the school to monitor and manage student attendance, academic and vocational performance, and student engagementForm intentional relationships with young people so that their strengths, passions, interests and unmet needs can be supported appropriately through the operation of the schoolSupport and case management of identified students in line with school policies and practiceAm I a good match?
Current Registered Teaching Qualifications,



Post Graduate qualifications in Education and/or Educational LeadershipSignificant and successful leadership experience in a Secondary Educational settingDemonstrated knowledge of the educational challenges facing disengaged young people and the cutting-edge methods needed to help them achieve wellbeing, academic and vocational outcomesAbility to communicate effectively with students including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environmentDemonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills and the ability to use those to influence the educational agenda for disengaged young peopleDemonstrated experience in giving and receiving feedback in relation to both teaching performance and program delivery effectivenessAbility to manage effectively staff to deliver high quality organisational outcomesComplete a National and/or International Police Check prior to employment and at the discretion of the YMCACurrently possess, or be willing to obtain, a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act ****Achievement of YMCA's Safeguarding Children Training Certificate and complete annual refresher training.What's in it for you?
