About the role
We are seeking a reliable dental assistant who enjoys working in a small, close-knit practice.
This role would be for up to 38 hours a week and would suit someone who is happy working independently at times, values building strong relationships with patients and enjoys being an important part of a small team.
What you'll be doing
Assisting dentists during patient treatments and procedures
Preparing treatment room and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocol
Recording patient treatment notes and updating patient records accurately
Providing chairside support during examinations, fillings, extractions and other dental procedures
Maintaining a clean and organised surgery environment
Sterilisation and dental waste disposal in accordance with health and safety regulations
Supporting the dentist with administrative tasks as needed
What we're looking for
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Warm, caring and reliable.
Experience in a dental practice is highly desirable.
