About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Building Estimator to join our growing team.
Role will be based in Brisbane with head office in Nerang and covering South East Queensland area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented qualified who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate assessments, scopes, and reports.
You will play a pivotal role in the claims process, acting as the key link between insurers, property owners, loss adjusters, and our internal operations team.
The successful candidate will have strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills,



and the ability to prepare thorough and compliant repair scopes for a wide range of insurance restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Attend initial site inspections and client meetings.
Assess damage resulting from insured events.
Prepare detailed repair scopes and estimates using industry software.
Develop realistic project budgets and estimated repair timeframes.
Produce comprehensive causation reports identifying claim-related damage and any pre-existing maintenance issues.
Ensure repair methodologies comply with current Building Codes, Australian Standards, and industry best practices.
Liaise professionally with insurers, loss adjusters, strata managers, property managers, and homeowners.
Identify potential risks, variations, and issues that may impact project delivery.
Assist in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the claims process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Previous experience within the insurance building industry.
Strong residential, commercial and/or strata construction knowledge.
Experience preparing detailed scopes of works and building estimates.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to interpret building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
A customer-focused approach and commitment to quality outcomes.
QBCC licence (preferred but not essential).
Experience with estimating platforms such as Prime Ecosystem (advantageous).
