Edge**** is looking for an Energy Consultant (or Senior Energy Consultant) to join our team and play a leading role in delivering our energy products and services.
This is a rare opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio exceeding 10TWh annually, helping some of Australia's largest energy users navigate the evolving energy landscape.
Edge**** interacts with a wide range of energy industry participants, from generators, wholesale brokers and traders, developers, retailers, and other specialist services providers, to ensure optimal outcomes for our clients.Our products and services include physical and financial products and services across electricity, gas and environmental markets.This role will directly influence decision-making of some of Australia's biggest energy participants.
It will provide quick-paced opportunity for broad skill, experience and professional network development not available in most organisations.Key responsibilities could include:Analyse data,



keep abreast of market developments and research relevant topics to inform our services and clientsRun tenders and negotiate contracts on client's behalfAttend regular meetings with clients and proactively provide adviceProactively develop and maintain relationships with clients and key industry stakeholdersSupport the Head of Trading and Analytics to maximise quantity and diversification (e.g. size, industry, service type) of clients and secure new business1-4 years of experience in the Australian east coast electricity markets (NEM)Curiosity, drive, passion about energy, enthusiasm for a diverse role in a dynamic environment to deliver commercial outcomesAnalytical and problem solving skills, attention to detailExcellent written, presentation and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of electricity retail to large customers (e.g.: pricing, network tariffs, products, metering, tendering process)An understanding of energy industry regulatory frameworks, policies, and proceduresExperience working with large energy users or in energy retail, trading, or consultancyIndustry network contactsExperience in energy market modelling, forecasting, financial modelling and risk analysisKnowledge of the gas markets, emissions reporting, environmental certificate markets, risk managementCoding skills (SQL, Python, R, Git) or related AI coding assistant toolsIf you're commercially minded, technically sharp, and passionate about growing your career—we'd love to hear from you.
