Community 3SIX5 is a registered NDIS provider delivering high-quality, person-centred disability support across Queensland.We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team, providing person-centred support to participants in Victoria Point and Wellington Point.This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference while working alongside a supportive team committed to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred support.About the RoleOur participants have a range of complex support needs, which may include:High-intensity support needsHigh physical support needsComplex and challenging behavioursEpilepsy and other complex medical conditionsImplementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies and Behaviour Support PlansWorking within structured 1:1 and 2:1 support environmentsThis role requires someone who is calm, resilient, professional, and committed to providing protected, respectful, person-centred support.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide person-centred support in participants' homes and within the communityAssist with personal care and daily living activitiesImplement Positive Behaviour Support strategies and Behaviour Support PlansSupport participants with complex physical and behavioural support needsPromote independence, choice, dignity, and community participationComplete accurate shift notes and required documentationWork collaboratively with families, Support Coordinators, therapists, and the wider support teamTo be successful in this role,



you will have:Demonstrated experience supporting participants with high-intensity support needsExperience supporting participants with complex or challenging behavioursExperience supporting participants with seizures or epilepsyCurrent NDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent First Aid & CPR CertificateCurrent Driver LicenceReliable vehicle with comprehensive car insuranceAvailability to work across a 7-day rosterHighly RegardedThe following skills, experience and training will be highly regarded:Experience supporting participants with epilepsy or other complex medical conditionsMedication competencyMAYBO trainingExperience implementing Behaviour Support PlansMental health or psychosocial disability experienceExperience supporting participants requiring 1:1 and 2:1 supportApplicants with experience in the following industries are strongly encouraged to apply:SecurityCorrectionsYouth JusticeMental HealthBehaviour SupportHigh-risk or crisis intervention environmentsExperience managing challenging situations, maintaining safety, using effective communication and de-escalation techniques, and remaining calm under pressure will be highly valued.Available ShiftsWe offer a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster, including weekdays, weekends, inactive overnight (sleepover) shifts, and public holidays.
