This emergency department is staffed by a highly qualified team of Career Medical Officers, Emergency Specialists and Nursing staff who provide care to patients of all ages with critical and acute illness
Patients are assessed upon arrival, and those with the most urgent medical need are seen first
The department works closely with other facilities within the Northern NSW Local Health District, and if necessary, patients may be transferred to another site for continuing care
