The Prospect
As a Hydraulic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hydraulic designs across a variety of building and infrastructure projects while working closely with clients, architects, builders, consultants and internal stakeholders.
You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through to completion, providing technically sound and practical solutions while continuing to develop your engineering capability within an experienced and supportive team.
This role provides an excellent platform for an engineer looking to expand your technical expertise, take greater ownership of projects and develop the leadership skills required to progress into a future Team Leader role.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver hydraulic engineering designs across a range of building and infrastructure projectsPrepare detailed hydraulic documentation, drawings, specifications and reportsDesign and coordinate hydraulic services including sanitary plumbing, drainage, stormwater and associated systemsCollaborate with architects, builders,
engineers and consultants to achieve successful project outcomesLiaise with clients and stakeholders throughout design and delivery stagesEnsure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and authority guidelinesAssist with project coordination, technical reviews and design managementContribute to improving design processes, systems and engineering standardsSupport junior engineers and contribute to a positive team workplace
About You

Ideally, you will have:
Proven experience as a Hydraulic Design Engineer within a building services consultancy environmentStrong understanding of hydraulic services design, documentation and project deliveryExperience designing hydraulic systems across commercial, residential or infrastructure projectsKnowledge of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and industry practicesStrong capability with hydraulic design software and technical documentation toolsExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients and project stakeholdersA proactive approach with the ambition to develop into a leadership role
Candidates with experience mentoring junior engineers, managing projects or taking ownership of design outcomes will be highly regarded.
