About Your Opportunity
To support the delivery of quality operational services, specifically cleaning and support on call roster at Magnetic Island Health Service. The position may be required to participate in an out-of-business-hours on-call roster to fulfil the role of ‘second-on-call’. The ‘second on call’ supports the nursing staff in the fulfillment of the ‘Never Alone’ policy and procedure.
Fulfil the accountabilities of this rolein accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
Maintenance of a clean, hygienic environment within client areas, units or departments by the implementation of systemised cleaning procedures.
Work to routines as provided by the Director Of Nursing / Facility Manager, as appropriate to the area.
Apply the Queensland Health Policy and Guidelines for cleaning.
Monitor work areas for facility defects and report same to management early, to minimise time interval to repair/replace.
Maintain patient confidentiality, where patient information might unofficially become known.
Comply with the requirements of Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Chance and anti-discrimination practices and behaviour in the work Environment.
Market-competitive salary and benefits
Casual rates: $40.22 to $42.91 per hour (AO2)
Requirements
Possession of class C drivers' licence.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
Probation period may apply.
