Working with the Branch Manager, this position provides effective and coordinated leadership and direction to the operations team to coordinate on site activities to ensure the business meets our Customers' expectations and to ensure activities are conducted in line with the expectations of the business, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed, in the achievement of the operational and financial targets set for the branch.
Encompassed in this role is responsibility for the coordination and management of activities relating to, but not limited to, inventory management, inbound and outbound movement of goods, liaising with the transport team to ensure goods are pick and loaded on time and in full, the productivity of the workshop / yard on a day-to-day basis and ensuring the operational and hands-on tasks are performed in a successful manner.
This position will be based at our Ipswich branch
Key Accountabilities
Operations
Lead and coordinate branch activity around the handling and processing of both inbound and outbound Inventory items through the branch
Ensure products are safety placed and suitably stacked, in line with warehousing procedures
Lead Yard Operative team members to ensure proper storage and distribution of products
Inspect equipment prior to use by team members, ensuring all prestarts and checklists have been completed and reviewed
Report any broken, damaged, or malfunctioning warehouse equipment to management
Ensure all paperwork for Customer Orders, Deliveries (inbound and outbound), goods receipting, Stock Transfers, etc are processed into the relevant systems and paperwork correctly filed
Ensure Receipting of stock and generating of purchase orders is undertaken in line with company procedures
Liaising with Branch Manager to determine stock availability
Communicate Branch Inventory levels, stockouts, supplier stock availability with the Sales and Yard team members
Other Ad-hoc duties required from time to time as directed by Management.
Customer Service
Communicate and consider fellow team members, labour hire and contractors to ensure an efficient and productive work environment is maintained
Act as Lyndons point of sale with external customers
Communicate any leads or information that might convert to a sale to the sales team

Take responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:
Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
Maintain relevant knowledge of WHS issues
Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours
Decision Making Authority
General day-to-day decisions to ensure a safe working environment, subject to delegation of authority.
Skills and Experience
Essential skills/experience
Proven work experience as a Operations Team Leader or Leading Hand or similar role
Solid knowledge of Inventory handling and supply chain processes
Experience preparing, packing and tracking orders
Excellent organizational skills
Problem-solving abilities
Knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications
Solid attention to detail
Desired skills/experience
Certificate 3 in a relevant discipline
Knowledge of region/area of delivery
Capability to lead, mentor and train team members
