We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to support the design, build and operation of secure, reliable data pipelines and data products within an emerging Enterprise Data Platform.This role will suit someone with solid Microsoft Fabric and Azure experience who is comfortable working across ingestion, transformation, governance, quality, deployment and monitoring.
You'll work closely with data governance, data stewards, custodians, analysts and product owners to deliver trusted, reusable datasets and semantic models for analytics and reporting.What you'll be doing:Build and operate data pipelines using Microsoft FabricDeliver ingestion and transformation across Bronze, Silver and Gold layersCreate curated datasets and reusable data productsDevelop semantic and dimensional models for Power BIUse Lakehouse, OneLake, SQL Endpoints, Dataflows Gen2 and NotebooksRun and schedule Microsoft Purview scansApply classifications, sensitivity labels and lineageImplement data quality checks, validation rules and automated testingMaintain technical documentation, runbooks and data dictionariesSupport privacy-by-design data ingestion and secure data useApply RBAC, managed identities and least-privilege accessAutomate deployment using Git and Azure DevOpsConfigure monitoring, alerting and operational dashboardsTune performance, storage and compute schedulesContribute to engineering patterns, templates and standardsWhat you need to bring:5+ years' experience in data engineering or equivalentStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft FabricSolid SQL and PySpark skillsExperience building production-grade data pipelinesExposure to Azure data services such as ADF,
