Role Description: The Principal Mining Consultant will provide expert guidance on underground, hard rock mine planning and Life of Asset optimization for a range of client operations. This full-time, hybrid role is for all Australian based engineers, seeking a mix of on-site consultation and flexible hours working from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading improvement implementation, reviewing and optimizing mine designs, conducting analytical studies, and applying Theory of Constraints principles to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities. The role involves collaborating closely with client technical teams, delivering technical coaching, preparing clear reports and presentations, and supporting the implementation of recommended changes. The Principal Mining Consultant will also contribute to developing internal methodologies, mentoring colleagues,



and supporting business development activities as required.

Qualifications
Solid Mine Planning and Mining Engineering skills, with 10+ years experience in underground, hard rock operations.
Advanced Analytical Skills and problem-solving capabilities, including experience with quantitative analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Proven collaboration skills, including stakeholder engagement, structured communication, and delivery of client-focused solutions.
Robust drill and blast experience.
Very robust mine planning experience.
Extensive experience with Deswik and/or Deswik Scheduler, or similar mine design tools.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in high-performing technical and mine-planning teams.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage priorities independently, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
