Our Community Development Team is seeking a Social Planner.PurposeThe Social Planner is responsible for engaging the community on the development of strategic documents that assist Council to meet community objectives and working with internal stakeholders to effectively monitor the implementation and reporting of social plans throughout the planning cycle.About the roleFacilitate the development, implementation, monitoring and review of Council's social policies, plans and strategies, including those relating to social inclusion, housing, community wellbeing and priority population groupsPrepare issue-based reports and briefing documentsProvide advice on the application of data and policy to Council's priority focus areas and community development programsProvide general Social Planning advice on the domains of local cultural, economic,
environmental and social standardsAbout youRelevant tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Social Planning, Public Policy, Community Development, Town Planning (with a key focus on social planning) or a related disciplineRelevant experience in an equivalent social planning, social policy, community development, strategic planning functions, including policy development, social impact, research and strategy implementationDemonstrated significant research, analysis and policy development skillsDemonstrated experience preparing evidence-based studies, need assessments, and policy analysis, and developing strategies, action plans and policy frameworks that respond to identified community needsFurther informationView the position description or contact Kat O'Neill, Coordinator Social Planning, on ******** ***Employment in this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check with a result of no relevant adverse findings and a current Working with Childrens Check.Randwick City Council is an equal chance employer, and we value a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture.
