About the role
Dueto continuedgrowth, we are seeking anadditionalexperienced Chemist.
This role will report to theLaboratory team leaderandwill be primarily responsible for completing the laboratory sampling and testingrequiredfor product certification and operational requirements.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Lytton and will alsobe responsible forsafe and efficient operations of the laboratory ensuringaccurateand reliable information is provided to Ampol and its customers.
Key responsibilities
Ensure incident free operationsthrough the use ofthe Loss Prevention System (LPS)
Perform testing and calibrations as per the prescribed method
Ensure testing and analysis of raw materials, finished oils, greases and speciality products are testedin a timely manner
Timely andaccuratereporting of analytical results
Providetechnical advice to blending, filling and warehouse operators
Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and report instrument breakdowns promptly
Assistinmaintainingthe quality, environment and technical systems and standards
Identifyopportunities for improvement in laboratory processes andparticipatingin internal audits
About you
You are an experienced qualified within a similar role anddemonstratedsuccess in laboratory operations with a strong focus on safety andhigh levelof integrity.
Key skills and experience
Tertiary Degree in Science, preferably majoring in Chemistry
Direct lubricants background is highly desired
Previousexperience in manufacturing environment, preferably in oil and gas
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Thorough understanding of laboratory equipment, testmethodsand procedures.
Good communications skills (verbal and written)
SAP experience is a desirable
Knowledge of NATA ISO ***** is a desirable
Compensation
Our total remuneration is competitive.
