We operate across sectors such as defence, commercial marine, aviation, airports, communications, emergency services and engineering consultancy.To provide you some local context, some of the programs our team are proud to be a part of involve:Providing emergency medical and Search & Rescue aviation services through our Aviation & Critical Services business;Designing and supporting key systems for submarines and surface ships through our Marine business;Managing critical assets for a range of sectors through our Land Business.About The RoleA fixed term opportunity exists for an experienced Aircrew Officer to join our Aviation & Critical Services team on a contract basis until 30 September ****, supporting our operations in Adelaide with the South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS) and the South Australian Police Force (SAPOL).
A fixed base candidate is preferred, although touring will be considered.
Please specify your preference in your application.In this role you will:Conduct safe flight operations complying with CASA, contractual and company policies and procedures;Report promptly on all operations and maintenance deficiencies;Complete pre-flight and post-flight documentation;Conduct helicopter EMS,



Search and Rescue and SA Police Operations;Provide accurate visual observation and information to the Pilot of flight relevant data including clearances, personnel movements and flight safety related issues;Maintain continuous and immediate readiness of operational role equipment;Employ and install role equipment;Operate rescue hoist and associated equipment IAW Babcock Operations Manual;Perform duties in the Front Left Seat (FLS) and using Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS);Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight husbandry;Ensure security and protected configuration of cabin and equipment; andOther tasks as designated by the Senior Base ACO or Chief Aircrew OfficerAbout YouEssential requirementsCertificate IV in Airborne Operations (AVI*****) or Certificate IV in Aviation AVI***** (Aircrewman) or AVI***** (Aircrew Officer)Certificate of Competency in Winching and Rappelling Operations;Minimum 500 hours of Rotary Wing Aircrew Officer experience;Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate;Current Senior First Aid (HLTAID011) and Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015);Current HUET with EBS;Current ASIC (red);Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC);NVIS Aircrew endorsement;Dangerous Goods Awareness or Dangerous Good Pack and AcceptDesirable requirementsB412/H145 experienceHEMS experienceNVIS hoisting experienceOver water and vessel hoisting experienceFront Left Seat experienceSingle ACO cabin operations experienceFast Rope experienceAerial Fire Support OperationsWhat sets us apart at BabcockBabcock offers a supportive and engaging environment where you can drive change and grow your career;We promote and foster training and development;Central to Babcock's core values are those of health, safety and environment, and diversity;The opportunity to be a part of something BIG!
