Boilermakers & Mechanical Fitters - Night Shift ShutdownBoilermakers & Mechanical Fitter – Night or Day Shift RostersAn established and reputable engineering firm is seeking experienced and motivated Boilermakers Mechanical Fitters to join our team for a two-week night shift shutdown at a meat processing facility located 1hr from Brisbane, commencing 3 August.This is a great opportunity to secure consistent shutdown work with the potential for ongoing maintenance opportunities.About the RoleWorking alongside the site maintenance team, you'll be involved in a variety of mechanical maintenance and shutdown activities, including:Hydraulic cylinder skid plate replacementsBearing replacements on rendering equipmentGearbox removal and replacement (including oxy cutting where required)Conveyor repairs and maintenanceMinor fabrication and mechanical repairsGeneral plant maintenance and breakdown supportQA inspections and completion of maintenance documentationYard rectification works to support plant operations and animal welfare requirementsThe work will involve a combination of planned maintenance and reactive repairs in a fast-paced processing environment.To be successful you will have:Australian Trade CertificatePrevious shutdown or heavy industrial maintenance experienceExperience working on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings and rotating equipmentAbility to carry out minor fabrication and repair workExperience with oxy cutting and mechanical modificationsStrong commitment to safety and qualityAbility to work well within a maintenance teamDesirableConfined SpaceWorking at HeightsEWPForklift LicenceHRWL ticketsExperience in food processing, mining or heavy industrial environmentsWhat we offerCompetitive hourly rates with penalty ratesNight Shift rosterTwo-week shutdown with the chance for ongoing workPPE supplied where requiredAccommodation providedSupportive team
