Clayton's Towing is seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our busy workshop team on the Sunshine Coast.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised workplace, and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
You will work closely with our mechanics and workshop staff, assisting with the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of towing and transport equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting mechanics and tradespeople with servicing, repairs and maintenance
Preparing vehicles, equipment, tools and parts for workshop activities
General workshop housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
Cleaning, detailing and presenting vehicles and equipment
Conducting basic mechanical tasks under supervision
Picking up and delivering parts as required
Assisting with stock control and workshop organisation
Supporting breakdown and fleet maintenance activities as directed
Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or in a workshop setting
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
A current and unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence




Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
HR Licence (desirable but not essential)
Ability to undertake manual handling and physical tasks
Most importantly, you are dependable, proactive and willing to roll up your sleeves to help wherever needed.
