Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation – Maitland NSWHIPPY (Home Inter action Program for Parents and Youngsters) and is a global program designed to support children's early learning and school readiness while building parents' confidence and skills in guiding their child's development.Theolesupportsrecruitmentandretentionoffamilies,monitorsparticipationandensuresfamiliesreceiveconsistentsupporttocompleteprogramactivities.The program is well loved by participants and has shown increased child development outcomes for the children who participate.

Port Stephens and Maitland LGA'sThe role oversees the day-to day delivery of the HIPPY Program supporting Parents and Carers to build skills and confidence needed to prepare their Children for school through structured home-based learning activities.The Coordinator works closely with participating families and HIPPY Home Tutors to ensure the program is delivered in accordance with the HIPPY curriculum and program guidelines.About youTo be best suited to this role you willBe passionate about improving outcomes for Aboriginal ChildrenBe able to establish meaningful honest relationships with families, children, tutors and CommunityBe self motivated, enthusiastic and able to motivate and lead tutors in the expected HIPPY delivery structureBe able to work independently as well as part of a small team managing your time effectively and supporting tutors to also learn this skillsBe honest, have a excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of confidentialityPosition requirementsWorking with Children Check ClearanceUp-to-date National Police CheckNSW Driver's LicenseConfirmation of AboriginalityFormal qualification and/or experience in Early Childhood Education, Community and or Family services, Social work or similarAboriginality is an essential criterion and is authorised under Section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act ****.This position is classified as child-related employment and is subject to relevant employment screening.RemunerationRemuneration is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.
