Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Field Technician to join our Exploration team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, 8 Days On, 6 Days Off Roster at our Pajingo operations.This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in exploration or mining who enjoys working in both field and core shed environments.
You will support drilling and sampling programs, core processing activities, and exploration logistics while contributing to the protected and efficient delivery of exploration targets.About the RoleReporting to the Field Services Supervisor, you will assist with a range of exploration activities including:Supporting drill programs and drill site logisticsSample preparation, dispatch and data entryChip traying, drill rig sampling and spotter dutiesCore mark-up, photography, sampling and cuttingProcessing and handling diamond drill coreDrill collar cutting and rehabilitationMaintaining exploration work areas, including core farm housekeepingSupporting environmental compliance and rehabilitation activitiesParticipating in safety inspections, toolbox meetings and hazard reportingAbout the EmployerNQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer operating locally in Northern QLD Since ****.
Southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, open cut, and ore processing operations.
