We're on the lookout for aYouth Advisorto join our Transition to Work (TtW) team.Think of this role as part coach, part cheerleader, part real‐talk mentor.
You'll work closely with young people to help them get job‐ready — not just with resumes and interviews, but with the real‐world stuff too: showing up on time, working in a team, and knowing what's expected in the workplace.
Through one‐on‐one coaching and group activities,
you'll help them build the confidence and skills they need to take that next step into work or study — and celebrate the wins along the way.What you'll be doing (aka your superpowers):Supporting young people one‐on‐one to build their confidence and job readinessCreating personalised Job Plans and portfolios that make senseRunning group sessions and coaching that's engaging, not boringConnecting young people with employers, training providers, and community orgsHelping turns job placements into long‐term success storiesKeeping track of progress and outcomes (yes, there's a bit of admin — but we've got systems for that)What you bring to the table:At least 2 years' experience working with young people (or similar)A passion for helping others succeed — especially those who've had a tough startGreat communication and people skillsA Certificate III (or willingness to get one)A current QLDBlue Card and National Police CheckA driver's licence and confidence to get out and aboutA Certificate IV in Employment Services or similarExperience managing caseloads or working with disadvantaged communitiesWhy you'll love working with us:We're ETC — a not‐for‐profit that's been changing lives across NSW and QLD for 35+ years.
