Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is the nation's leading voice on exercise and sports science.
We govern and represent approximately 10,000 degree-qualified accredited exercise professionals who support Australians to reach their health and performance goals.
About your role
12-month parental leave contract | 0.8 FTE (flexible)
Join our Regulation Services Unit and play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the exercise and sports science profession.
You'll assess accreditation applications from graduates and professionals, provide expert guidance to applicants, contribute to improving accreditation processes, and help ensure practitioners meet the standards required to deliver safe and effective services.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys critical thinking, making evidence-based decisions and contributing to continuous improvement.
What you'll do
Assess domestic and international accreditation applicationsProvide advice and support to applicants and stakeholdersMake evidence-based accreditation decisions and maintain accurate recordsContribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiativesDevelop and update accreditation policies, procedures and resourcesCollaborate with the assessment team to ensure fair and consistent outcomes
What you'll bring
A tertiary qualification in Exercise & Sports Science (or related field)Solid written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and sound judgementThe ability to manage competing priorities and work independentlyA collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvementA passion for upholding professional standards and delivering great service
