It's an exciting time to join us and a great place to start a career in shipbuilding.As a Mechanical (Machinist) Apprentice you will gain practical experience while in the shipyard, while completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Machining Trade.This is a challenging and exciting opportunity which will develop your skills to become an extremely versatile Mechanical Machining tradesperson.
Working in a state-of-the-art workshop or on the ship with a great team, your responsibilities will include:Working with the latest mechanical machinery and technology available in the defence industryAssist with removing, repairing and installing mechanical components and equipmentParticipate in preventative and corrective maintenance tasksUse workshop machines to produce componentsApplying health and safety processes in the workplaceContributing to improving business culture with regards to people, process and systemsAbout YOUAs an ideal applicant for this opportunity,
