As a proud third-generation, family-owned business, we value stability, teamwork, and long-term relationships.We are seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, oversee payroll, and provide strategic financial guidance.This position is offered on a minimum four-day per week basis, working at least 27.5 hours per week based at our Sandgate office.
We are open to discussing contract hours, working days, and start and finish times during the recruitment process.About the RoleReporting to the Director, you will lead a small finance team, deliver accurate and timely reporting, and provide insights that support informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation.This role provides leadership in enhancing financial performance and strengthening governance across the business.Following the retirement of our long-term Management Accountant, this position presents an excellent opportunity to step into a well-established role.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support the finance teamPrepare annual consolidated financial statements and periodic management reportsOversee and provide support for end-to-end payrollOversee the preparation and lodgement of BAS,



and other statutory obligationsProvide financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisionsSupport and advise HR on industrial instruments, leave entitlements, and related mattersAbout YouBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or CPA highly regarded)Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting within an Australian environmentDemonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionallyExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholdersHigh attention to detail with robust analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of ATO requirements including BAS, GST, and payroll taxAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (BusinessCraft or Xero preferred)Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlinesWhat We OfferFlexible family friendly working days and hoursStable, long-term employment with a successful, local family-owned organisationStep into a role supported by established processes and a knowledgeable teamConvenient office location in Sandgate, NewcastlePositive, team-oriented culture that values collaboration and supportAttractive remuneration package reflective of experience and expertiseFor a confidential discussion or to learn more about the role, please contact Brydee Milajew, ******
