This position will suit a reliable mechanic who works efficiently, takes pride in their workmanship and is committed to completing each job correctly the first time.What We OfferSalary of $83,000–$110,000 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications, experience and diagnostic capabilityMonday to Thursday, 7:30 am–4:30 pmFriday, 7:30 am–3:00 pmAbsolutely no weekend workSecure full time employment in an established workshopBusy and varied mechanical workloadModern workshop equipment and diagnostic toolsSupportive workshop managementImmediate start available for the right applicantThe upper end of the salary range is available to highly experienced mechanics with strong diagnostic, fault-finding and independent working ability.About the RoleThe position will involve a broad range of mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostic work, including:Logbook and general vehicle servicingMechanical repairs and maintenanceBrake,



suspension and steering repairsCooling system repairsTiming belts and related repairsEngine and driveline repairsFault diagnosis and electrical testingPre-purchase and general vehicle inspectionsTyre fitting, wheel balancing and puncture repairs when requiredAccurately identifying additional repairs and safety concernsCompleting workshop job cards and service recordsMaintaining a clean and safe work areaWhat We Are Looking ForThe successful applicant must have:Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent recognised qualificationPrevious experience working as a qualified light vehicle mechanicStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsA current Australian manual driver licenceYour own basic hand toolsGood attention to detailA commitment to quality workmanship and completing each job correctly the first timeThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skillsA reliable and professional attitudeA strong understanding of workshop safety proceduresExperience with vehicle diagnostics, tyres, wheel alignments, air conditioning or roadworthy inspections will be highly regarded but is not essential.
