Position Overview We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team and produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports both internal operations and end-user understanding.
This role is central to bridging the gap between complex technical concepts and accessible written content across a range of formats and platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring strong research capabilities, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, developers, and stakeholders.
A background in a technical discipline combined with a passion for clear communication would make you an exceptional fit for this position.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with engineers, developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and verify technical accuracy across all documentation
Plan, organise, and manage documentation projects from initial brief through to final publication, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
Review and edit existing documentation to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or outdated content, and update materials to reflect product or process changes
Develop and apply style guides, templates, and documentation standards to ensure consistency in tone, format, and terminology across all written outputs
Produce content for digital and print formats including online help systems, knowledge bases, e-learning modules, and technical reference guides
Liaise with stakeholders to understand documentation requirements and translate business or technical briefs into structured, reader-focused content
Conduct quality assurance reviews of documentation prior to release, checking for technical accuracy, readability, grammar, and adherence to brand and style guidelines
Support the development of training materials and contribute to onboarding programmes by producing clear instructional content for new users or staff
Manage version control and document repositories, ensuring all materials are correctly filed, versioned, and accessible to relevant teams
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in a technical writing role, ideally within a corporate, technology, or engineering environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to research, interpret, and document complex technical subjects in a clear and accessible manner
Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Confluence, Microsoft Word, or equivalent platforms
Experience working with content management systems, version control tools, and document repositories
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Sound understanding of documentation best practices, including the use of style guides such as the Microsoft Manual of Style or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification or skilled certification in Technical Communication, such as a Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing or equivalent
Experience with API documentation, software development lifecycle (SDLC), or working within Agile project environments
Familiarity with graphic design or multimedia tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Snagit, or Camtasia to support visual documentation
Exposure to single-sourcing methodologies and structured authoring frameworks such as DITA
Prior experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, finance, or engineering where documentation compliance is essential

Flexible working arrangements including hybrid and remote options to support a healthy work-life balance
A collaborative, inclusive team culture that values expertise, continuous learning, and professional growth
