We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food & Beverage Night Supervisor to join the management team at Bombora Seafood in Wollongong (C&RE; PTY LTD).
This is a full time position based in Wollongong NSW ****.
As a Food & Beverage Night Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining operational standards during the restaurant's afternoon and night trading hours.
You will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing directly to the profitability and reputation of the establishment.
This position offers the opportunity to develop your management skills whilst working in a dynamic hospitality environment.Key responsibilitiesSupervising and directing food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders and kitchen assistants, to ensure efficient and high-quality service deliveryTraining and developing team members to enhance their skills, product knowledge and customer service capabilitiesMonitoring food and beverage quality, presentation and consistency in accordance with established standards and recipesManaging inventory, stock rotation and ordering of food and beverage supplies, whilst minimising waste and controlling costsEnsuring compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations, including regular inspections and documentationFollowing the finalising of daily trade, cash counting and nightly closure proceduresHandling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally to ensure guest satisfaction and loyaltyAssisting with promotional activities to drive revenue and customer engagementMaintaining a clean and organised work environment across all food and beverage areasPreparing reports on operational performance,



staff scheduling and financial metrics for management reviewLiaising with kitchen manager and front-of-house to coordinate service during busy periodsWhat we're looking forCommitment to work afternoon through to night hours2-3 years' experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within food and beverage operationsComprehensive knowledge of food safety, health codes and hospitality industry best practicesStrong understanding of food and beverage products, including wines, spirits, cocktails and cuisine stylesDemonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment, with proven conflict resolution skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and guestsStrong organisational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and hospitality management softwareAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as requiredCurrent food handling certificate or willingness to obtain oneCertification in responsible service of alcohol (RSA) or equivalentProblem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressureExperience in a similar hospitality venue or restaurant environment is highly desirableAbout usBombora Seafood is a respected hospitality business operating in Belmore Basin, Wollongong.
