This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, financial systems expertise, and a passion for process improvement to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial management and reporting across the organisation.Your duties will include, but are not limited to:Lead the maintenance, enhancement and continuous improvement of Council's Financial Management Information System (FMIS), ensuring data integrity and reliable financial reportingSupport the preparation of Council's Annual Budget, Quarterly Budget Reviews and Long Term Financial PlanPartner with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial processes, reporting and system functionalityDevelop and maintain financial reports, dashboards and reporting tools to deliver meaningful business insightsCoordinate testing, implementation and support for financial system upgrades,
enhancements and new functionalityProvide expert advice, training and support to users while driving projects that improve efficiency and strengthen financial managementQualifications, Skills & ExperienceDegree-qualified in Accounting with CPA/CA membership (or working towards)Demonstrated experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting within a complex organisationExtensive experience with TechnologyOne or a similar ERP/Financial Management Information System (FMIS)Proven experience in developing reports using system report writers such as XLOneStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of improving financial systems and business processesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to develop meaningful financial reports and insightsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outstanding customer serviceFlexible working arrangements, including working from home optionsOpportunity to purchase up to 2 weeks additional annual leave per calendar yearAccess to a wide range of development and training opportunitiesSupportive, collaborative and values-driven team cultureAccess to Fitness PassportAnnual Health & Fitness reimbursement of up to $100 (subject to eligibility)Novated Lease options available for private use vehiclesFree onsite parkingFree confidential Employee Assistance ProgramConvenient Ku-ring-gai location with beautiful natural surroundingsCloses: 11:30pm, Thursday 20 August ****Ku-ring-gai Council is an equal opportunity employer
