With a proven track record on projects ranging from $1M to $100M+, we partner with Tier 1 clients across Australia and continue to expand our national footprint.Applications will be reviewed against current and future project requirements of strong safety leaders who can build positive team cultures while maintaining high safety and operational standards in FIFO environments.The OpportunityAs a WHS Advisor at AWCON, you will play a key role in supporting project teams across all aspects of health, safety, and compliance – working closely with operational leaders to maintain high safety standards in challenging FIFO environments.What You'll Be Responsible ForSupporting the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and proceduresEnsuring compliance with legislation, client requirements, and site safety standardsProviding practical safety support and guidance to site teamsConducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigationsFacilitating toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety meetingsAssisting with hazard reporting, corrective actions,



and risk management processesPromoting a proactive and positive safety culture across site operationsMaintaining accurate safety records and compliance documentationBuilding strong working relationships with clients, supervisors, and crewsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in a WHS Advisor or similar safety-focused roleMining experience essential, with underground experience highly regardedExperience working within FIFO construction or mining environmentsStrong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and site safety systemsStrong communication skills with confidence delivering training, toolbox talks, and practical safety adviceMinimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent qualificationCurrent Driver's Licence and ability to meet site mobilisation requirementsWhat You'll GetInitial fixed-term contract with solid potential for ongoing opportunitiesFamily-friendly 2:1 FIFO rosterOpportunity to work on major mining and civil projectsSupportive team environment with experienced industry professionalsOngoing career development and progression opportunities within a growing business
