We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our experienced and friendly Allied Health team on a part-time fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover).
Based at our Lidcombe Wellbeing Centre (NSW), you will provide high-quality exercise physiology services to people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions across clinic, community, home and telehealth settings.
This is an exciting chance to work within a highly experienced multidisciplinary neurological team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
There is also potential for this role to transition to an ongoing position, subject to organizational requirements and service demand.
Fixed-term contract until May ****
Location: Lidcombe with center and community/home-based visits across surrounding suburbs.
What does your role include:
Providing exercise physiology sessions to clients one-on-one or small groups within a brand-new specialised gym/clinic setting or in the client's home or by telehealth
Providing individual exercise physiology assessments and developing individual exercise plans
Work in a multidisciplinary clinic including a team of exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists and range of other services
Delivering service to people living with multiple sclerosis and neurological conditions
Writing comprehensive reports (including NDIS, HCP, and other funding bodies), providing updates on progression against individual goals and providing clinical justification
Be supported by a Not-for-Profit organisation that prioritises the wellbeing of their clients
We seek a self-motivated individual with:
Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)
with Exercise and Sports Science Australia
Experience in assessments and goal-oriented program development/exercise prescription.
Experience in providing exercise physiology support to people with a disability, in particular neurological conditions.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Current Driver License
Experience working within the NDIS, Home Care Packages and community health settings will be highly regarded.
