We have casual, residential Youth Worker roles available acrossthe Central Coast including, Hamlyn Terrace,Watanobbi, Woongarah & Woy Woy.
Youth Workers will be required to:
Deliver therapeutic care and support within a 24-hour residential setting to children and young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
Be able to work a range of shifts which may include: day shifts – from ****, afternoon & sleepovers shifts – from *********** next day, actives night shifts – from *********/midnight.
Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
Provide a safe and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.

What you need:
A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification (or working towards)
Must have experience supporting high risk youth in a residential care setting.
Australian driver's license (we cannot accept international licenses)
First Aid Certificate with current CPR
Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
National police check (current)
Have a reliable car with registration certificate
Reliable smart phone with data
Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon and over night shifts (active and/or sleepover shifts)
Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs

$***** per hour plus penalties

Casual position with consistent hours, however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts
