You will help build strong partnerships between families, the parish and the school community, tailoring initiatives to meet local needs.You will work closely with:the principal and school leadershipparents and familiesthe parish priest and parish staffthe Religious Education Coordinatorwider church agencies.About YouYou are someone who lives their Catholic faith and brings it to life for others.
You have a heart for ministry and a passion for helping families grow in their relationship with God and the Church.




You will bring:a strong and active commitment to the practice of the Catholic Faith as a baptised Catholicexperience in parish/pastoral ministry, such as but not limited to Sacramental program, family/children's liturgy, baptismal group, prayer groupsability to articulate an understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Church, and present church doctrine and scripture in the appropriate context of time, place and culturecompetency and creativity in initiating, organising and facilitating a range of opportunities and forums to connect/reconnect and engage parents and families with the religious life of the school and parishhighly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation, time management and organisational skillscommitment to participate in and contribute to a formation program facilitated by the SCS Central Officea strategic outlook and understands the school within the broader educational, ecclesial and communal contextrefined project management skills to deliver agreed initiatives in a timely and effective manner.You will have attained:tertiary qualifications, preferably at Degree levelfour (4) years' experience in teaching, parish/ecclesial ministry with adults and families, or as a Family Educator.Statement of Commitment to Child SafetyWorking With Children Check (WWCC)This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment.SCS welcomes and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and candidates with diverse backgrounds.
