About the role
As Parks Project Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping high‐quality, sustainable open spaces across the Inner West.
Reporting to the Coordinator Parks Projects and working within Council's Capital Works team, you'll lead the delivery of parks, recreation and landscape capital works projects from concept through to completion.This is a hands‐on project management role where you'll balance technical rigour with strong community outcomes.
You'll manage investigations, scoping, design, approvals, procurement, contract administration and on‐site delivery,



ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and in line with Council's Community Strategic Plan.You'll work closely with consultants, contractors, internal stakeholders and the local community to deliver parks, sportsfields, gardens and open space upgrades that are functional, inclusive, climate‐responsive and well‐loved.
From overseeing tender processes and supervising construction works on site to responding to community feedback and contributing to strategic improvements, this role offers a genuine end‐to‐end project lifecycle.This position will suit a landscape architect, civil engineer or experienced capital works project manager who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and is motivated by delivering visible, lasting outcomes for the community.

Remuneration
$114,377 - $137,420 + 12% Superannuation
Required skills, experience and qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering OR equivalent industry experience in capital works delivery.
Demonstrated practical experience in the investigation, evaluation,



design and specification of capital works infrastructure to relevant industry standards, codes and legislation.
Well developed procurement and project management skills.
Computer skills, including demonstrated experience with word processing, spreadsheets, project management software and CAD.
Class C Motor Vehicle Driver's Licence.
