In this role, you will provide culturally safe, lived experience-informed support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people living with mental health challenges.
Grounded in connection to culture, community, and Country, you will support healing, empowerment, and resilience.You will use your lived experience and cultural knowledge to walk alongside people in their recovery journey- building trust, strengthening identity, and supporting connection to community supports and services.Key DetailsMultiple roles FT & PPTIdentified RolesLiverpool/ BankstownSCHADS award level 3ResponsibilitiesCulturally Safe Peer SupportDeliver culturally safe, recovery-oriented peer support aligned with the CLS modelUse lived experience to support healing, wellbeing, and resilienceAssist with daily living, emotional regulation, and social connectionSupport clients with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, and social connectionMaintain an active caseload and meet support delivery targetsSupport connection to Country, culture, and communityCommunity & Cultural EngagementBuild relationships with Aboriginal Medical Services, Elders,

recovery-oriented supportEssential RequirementsCertificate IV in Mental Health or Peer Workor relevant industry experienceMinimum 12 months experience in a CLS program or similar programStrong understanding of recovery-oriented, person-centred practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage complex needs and behaviours with confidence and careKnowledge of trauma-informed care and cultural competencyStrong problem-solving skills and adaptabilityConfidence using Microsoft Office and reporting systemsEligibilityNSW Driver's LicenceWorking with Children CheckNational Police Check (within 3 months)NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation ModulePhysical capability to meet the requirements of the role, including lifting up to 10kg.Why Join?
