This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to health education, clinical practice, and community wellbeing by providing immunisation services within our university health programs and clinical settings.
The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting student and staff health, ensuring compliance with immunisation protocols, and promoting best practices in vaccination delivery.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide immunisation services to students, staff, and community members in accordance with relevant health guidelines and protocols.Conduct health assessments and review vaccination histories to determine vaccination needs.Educate clients on vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and post-immunisation care.Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with privacy legislation.Ensure all immunisation activities meet infection control and safety standards.Collaborate with university health services, clinical staff,



and external health providers as needed.Contribute to health promotion initiatives and participate in relevant training and professional development.Assist with administrative duties related to immunisation programs, including stock management and reporting.Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRAExperience running or supporting vaccination clinics.Medical Director Collaboration: Understanding of working effectively with the Medical Director to ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards.AIR (Australian Immunisation Register): Knowledge of AIR processes, reporting requirements, and data management to support immunisation programs.PRAcSoft: Familiarity with PRAcSoft software for data entry, analysis, and reporting related to immunisation and healthcare activities.Cold Chain Protocols: Comprehensive understanding of cold chain management protocols to maintain vaccine efficacy and safety throughout storage and transportation.Demonstrated experience in immunisation delivery within a clinical setting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.Knowledge of infection control practices and relevant health and safety standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
