As an Accessory Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all accessories are installed to the highest standards, maintaining customer satisfaction and contributing to the reputation of Grand Prix Narangba as a trusted automotive service provider.Key responsibilitiesInstall a wide range of vehicle accessories including towbars, roof racks, bullbars, tray liners, and other aftermarket fittings to customer specificationsRead and interpret technical drawings, installation manuals and work orders to ensure accurate fitting of accessoriesConduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure all installations meet safety standards and customer expectationsPrepare vehicles prior to accessory installation by cleaning work areas and protecting vehicle surfacesPerform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to ensure accessories function correctly after installationMaintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulationsCommunicate effectively with customers regarding installation progress and any potential issues or modificationsKeep accurate records of completed work, materials used and time spent on each jobSupport the team in meeting production targets and delivery deadlinesWhat we're looking forProven experience as an Accessory Fitter or similar role within the automotive trades industryStrong knowledge of vehicle accessories and fitment techniques specific to the automotive aftermarketProficiency in using hand tools, power tools and specialist fitting equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and installation specifications accuratelyExcellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanshipValid driver's licence and reliable transportationStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environmentPhysical fitness and ability to work in various positions for extended periodsKnowledge of health and safety practices relevant to automotive workshopsProblem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different vehicle models and accessory typesPreferred: relevant qualifications in automotive accessory fitting or completion of vocational training in automotive tradesWhat we offerFull-time employment with a stable, established automotive businessCompetitive hourly rates commensurate with experience and qualificationsOpportunities for professional development and advancement within the automotive tradesA supportive and collaborative team environmentAccess to modern workshop facilities and quality equipmentSafe working conditions with a strong commitment to workplace health and safetyFlexible work arrangements where possible to support work-life balancePotential for additional benefits subject to performance and tenure
