We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Handyperson to join our hotel team.
This hands-on role is responsible for carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep across guest rooms, public areas, plant rooms and equipment to help ensure a safe, well-presented, and comfortable environment for our guests and team members.
About the role
Working closely with the hotel leadership team, you will respond to maintenance requests, complete daily checks, and proactively identify and resolve issues before they affect the guest experience.
You will also support the upkeep of building fixtures, furniture, plant rooms and equipment, while maintaining accurate records and working safely at all times.
Key responsibilities
Complete day-to-day maintenance tasks across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and furniture items.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hotel technology issues such as TVs, AC units, and related room equipment.
Perform painting and touch-up work to maintain a clean and professional presentation.




Respond to maintenance requests promptly and keep guests and departments updated on progress.
Conduct routine inspections and report faulty equipment, safety hazards, or urgent repair needs.
Plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines and minimise disruption to operations.
Maintain protected, tidy, and well‐organised work areas, tools, and workshop spaces.
What we're looking for
Availability to work every Saturday and Sunday.
Strong independent work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised.
A proactive mindset with the ability to achieve project targets.
Experience troubleshooting hotel-specific technology such as TVs and air conditioning.
Well presented, friendly, and professional in appearance and manner.
Strong guest communication and customer service skills.
Practical experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and furniture repairs or maintenance.
Experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality maintenance is highly regarded.
