We're proud of our legacy and just as excited about what we're building next.Role OverviewAccurate inventory is the backbone of a reliable supply chain, keeping production running, stock levels right and costs under control.
This role exists to protect that accuracy day to day.We're looking for an Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock integrity across our Sydney sites.
You'll work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Logistics and Finance to keep our inventory data accurate, our processes tight and our operations running smoothly.This role suits someone who takes pride in getting the numbers right, enjoys solving discrepancies rather than just flagging them, and wants their organisational skills to have a direct, visible impact on the business.About The RoleReporting into the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you'll take ownership of inventory accuracy and control across all sites.
Day to day, you can expect to:Keep inventory records accurate and up to dateInvestigate and resolve stock discrepancies and inventory issuesMonitor material usage and identify unusual stock movementsProcess stock write-offs and arrange disposal of obsolete or damaged materialsSupport pallet and packaging stock controlPrepare and share regular inventory reportsWork with Planning and Purchasing teams to help maintain optimal stock levelsAssist with setting up new products and materials in company systemsIdentify and drive improvements to inventory processes and controlsFollow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe workplaceWhat We're Looking For:This role will suit someone who understands that accurate inventory data protects the whole business, from production planning to the bottom line.
You'll bring:Experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain managementStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracySolid problem-solving and organisational skillsIntermediate Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysisClear communication skills and the ability to work across different teamsThe ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesYou will probably enjoy this role if you:Have a genuine eye for detail and take satisfaction in tracking down a discrepancyBring a positive attitude and a willingness to learnEnjoy working across teams and building good working relationshipsAre committed to safety, teamwork and continuous improvementLike having real ownership and visibility over your workWhy Join Birch & Waite?
