Indie College is seeking a FullTime Trainer and Assessor (Coach) to join us at our Parramatta College campus.
This role requires delivering training and assessment to the Learner cohort, in line with the relevant training package and the company's training and assessment strategies.
Indie College supports Trainers and Assessors with paid professional development, all training materials and compliance requirements, and are committed to on-going improvements and efficiencies so you can focus on engagement and delivery.
Indie has a formal training framework to upskill, support and supervise recent Trainers/Assessors or industry professionals wanting a career change.
Indie College supports young people to re-engage with education and training.
Our programs empower students to overcome personal barriers that have led to their disengagement from education.
Indie College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) providing alternative, accredited courses at locations around Australia.
Indie courses are delivered in either one-on-one, small or large group settings.

Key responsibilities:




Upon completion of all relevant Qualifications deliver training/assessment to LearnersProvide a flexible and engaging approach to delivering educational programs to the Learner cohortAdapt training style and delivery method to accommodate Learner's learning needsDemonstrate resilience and interpersonal skills to engage with a mixed cohort of LearnersMaintain professional boundaries in the roleComplete all documentation in line with company policy and proceduresManage challenges and barriers faced with delivering alternative education to the Learner cohortTransport Learners to and from sessions as permittedTime management skills, administrative skills, and ability to meet deadlinesStrong written, oral, and digital literacy skills, and attention to detailWork within the requirements set out within company's training and assessment strategiesWork cohesively in a team environmentUndertake regular training to ensure you understand and follow policies and procedures in regards to Child Safe Standards and Mandatory reporting.Complete annual professional development that is provided by IndieCurrent DriverLicenceOwn a reliable vehicle (registered and insured)Annual National Police Check (issued in the 3-months prior to appointment)Current Working with Children's Check-in State/s of operationCoaches are required to complete the company study phase requirements over a timeframe of 6 weeks to 12 months.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday – 8.30 am to 4.30pm.Christmas Closure period (Dec/Jan,10 A/L days)
Remuneration:
Level 4 (Indie Education Enterprise Agreement ***********), currently $89,698 per annum.In addition, Coaches also receive a fuel allowance of $300 per fortnight, making a total of $97,498 per annum plus superannuation (on base salary).
