About the job:We're currently partnering with a well-established organisation within the engineering and infrastructure sector to appoint a HR Generalist/Coordinator into their collaborative People & Culture team.
This role offers genuine long-term development opportunities, with the business keen to invest in someone looking to grow their career into a future HR Advisor/Consultant and eventually HRBP pathway.This is a genuinely broad role with exposure across the full employee lifecycle, supporting both operational HR activities and wider people initiatives across a national workforce.
The position would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to continue building their generalist HR capability within a stable and growing business.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting employees and managers with day-to-day HR queries and processesAssisting with end-to-end recruitment coordination including advertising, interview scheduling, reference checks and offer preparationPreparing employment contracts, promotions, resignations and other employee documentationCoordinating onboarding activities and supporting the new starter experienceManaging probation review processes and stakeholder follow-upSupporting employee engagement initiatives and benefits programsCoordinating visa applications with external immigration providersAssisting with HR reporting,
workforce data and diversity reportingConducting exit interviews and identifying key themes and trendsSupporting policy reviews and ensuring alignment with current legislationAssisting with annual performance review processes, training coordination and wider HR projectsMaintaining HR systems, records and internal documentationAbout YouPrevious experience within a HR Coordinator or HR Generalist positionTertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related disciplineExposure to Australian employment legislation and HR best practiceStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesHigh attention to detail and strong administrative capabilityExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive and solutions-focused mindsetAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentWhat's on OfferBroad exposure across all areas of HRSupportive and collaborative team cultureOpportunity to work within a well-established national businessCareer development and long-term growth opportunitiesFast-paced, people-focused workplace with variety in the roleIf you're looking to step into a true generalist role where you can continue developing across multiple areas of HR, we'd love to hear from you.
