Working closely with the Accounts Receivable Team Leader and experienced billing specialists, you'll play a key role in managing patient and health fund billing, collections and revenue processes.
You'll join the team during a significant electronic medical record transformation, providing valuable support while gaining exposure to a specialised healthcare finance environment.DUTIESProcess private health fund and patient billing accurately and efficientlyManage outstanding debtor accounts and actively follow up paymentsRecover health fund underpayments and reconcile billing discrepanciesRespond to billing and account enquiries from patients and stakeholdersMaintain accurate financial records and daily banking processesSupport billing reconciliations and audit preparation activitiesBuild strong relationships across Patient Services, Finance and Health Information teamsEnsure patient confidentiality and compliance with all relevant policiesAssist with revenue improvement initiatives and other finance projects as requiredSKILLS & EXPERIENCEPrevious Accounts Receivable or billing experienceExperience within private hospital billing will be highly regardedExposure to healthcare, medical practice or health fund billing is advantageousStrong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and debt collectionIntermediate Excel skills and confidence learning new systemsExperience using patient administration or healthcare billing systems is highly desirableExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesProfessional, collaborative attitude with a commitment to exceptional customer serviceNational Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)BENEFITSOpportunity to work with a highly respected healthcare organisationImmediate start with a supportive and collaborative teamExcellent exposure to specialised private hospital billingPotential for contract extensionWork alongside experienced leaders within Revenue OperationsBe part of an organisation investing in major technology transformationAt Lotus People, we are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion.
